What happens if you call the suicide hotline?

Whenever I have called them, the police and the EMT's showed up within minutes banging on my door.. Oh yah, and they don't ever place you on hold.. so someone else must call 911 because I had no idea that they were sending the police and EMT's to my house.. and they banged on my door until I opened it. And than they take you to the ER...I refused to go and they handcuffed me and tied me to the gurney and the police officers rode in the ambulance with us
