Christians, what does I Cor. 9:25-27 mean to you?

Paul was writing the Corinthian congregation highlighting the need to preach without hypocrisy. And the race for life will not be easy but you need to endure. He said that he "pummel his body or he got tuff with himself so others knew that he was serious. He would be like a castaway if he was not serious and truth full.
