Which compiler should I use?

I am learning C, want to learn Java, Assembly, C#, attain a greater degree of mastery of PHP, and learn Pearl and Python. Currently I use codeblocks, but that doesn't work. I write programs that don't work, and then I manually copy what did work (which doesn't work), and then I copy and paste the source code and it still doesn't work. I want a good compiler that ideally I can easily find a free download/trial of. I would also like the name or download URL of compilers for the other listed languages. C++ is also a strong possibility.
