What would be a good book to read for AP English?

I am in 11th grade AP English and this is my summer reading list (Founding Brothers) by Joseph J. Ellis, (Bel Canto) by Ann Patchett, and (Slaughterhouse Five) by Kurt Vonnegut. I do suggest slaughterhouse five because of it's story of WW2 and the name applies nothing to what actually happens :)
